
Monica Weinberg, MD
About Me
Dr. Monica Weinberg is board certified in internal medicine and completed her residency at New York-based Mount Sinai Hospital. Prior to joining the Institute for Family Health, Dr. Weinberg was on the faculty at NYU Langone Department of Medicine for 12 years (2005-2017), where she had a robust internal medicine practice and taught NYU residents and medical students. She attended medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine and received a B.A. from Dartmouth College in biophysical chemistry. Her professional interests include primary prevention, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and nutrition. Dr. Weinberg is also passionate about decreasing the prevalence of health disparities and excited to be part of The Institute for Family Health’s mission of improving health equity. Outside of work, Dr. Weinberg enjoys being active and spending time with her husband and three children.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
