About Me
Dr. Mubasir Mundia joined Mount Sinai in 2025 as a Hematology-Oncology physician specializing in benign hematology, anemias, lung & gastroenterological cancers, Multiple Myeloma, skin cancers and head & neck cancers.
Dr. Mundia completed his medical studies at K.J. Somaiya Medical College and Research Center, followed by an internship at the same institution. He then earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) from the University Of Mumbai. To continue his training, Dr. Mundia moved to Westchester Medical Center for his residency in Internal Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year, followed by his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Mundia is triple board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mundia has an interest in research and quality improvement. This includes how education helps improve quality outcomes and patient care, as well as clinical trials of novel therapeutics and the access of clinical trials for members of the community.
