About Me
I was born in Detroit, MI to Lebanese immigrant parents who escaped the civil war and fled to America for more opportunity and a better life. I was raised in a suburb outside of Detroit, named Dearborn, known for being the home of Henry Ford and the best arabic food you will taste outside of Beirut. It was during my senior year of high school that I discovered my love for science as well as community service thus I set my sights on becoming a physician. Afterwards I attended the University of Michigan where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry and eventually entered medical school. This involved me leaving the comfort of Michigan and heading down to sunny Miami, FL and to be part of the class of 2012 at Nova Southeastern University: College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following my time in the sunshine state, I matched into one of my top internal medicine residency choices and moved to New York City to train at Mt. Sinai St. Luke's Roosevelt. It was during these busy three years that I discovered my passion for primary care and serving the city of New York.
