About Me

Dr. Nahid K. Nainzadeh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation ("PM&R") and a Diplomate of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine ("EMG"). She has been practicing PM&R, focusing on musculoskeletal, neurological and occupational related disorders, and EMG for over 28 years, 13 of which have been at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Prior to Mount Sinai, she was in private practice and served as the Acting Director of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Hospital for Joint Diseases.

A pioneer in intraoperative spinal cord monitoring, Dr. Nainzadeh was the first to implement the procedure in New York State, in 1980. She has authored countless articles focused on Somatosensory Evoked Potentials, and authored multiple original research articles, one of which was awarded the Richard O'Connor Award of North American Arthroscopy.
