About Me
Dr. Nana Amoh is a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine. She works in the Student Trainee Mental Health Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Amoh has worked with individuals across the lifespan and she specializes in the treatment of trauma-related disorders. She is flexible in her provision of treatment to meet the individual and cultural needs of each patient while still maintaining fidelity to evidence-based practices.
Dr. Amoh completed her undergraduate career at Columbia College, Columbia University where she majored in Psychology and concentrated in English. She then earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University before earning her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center/John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital where she worked with youth and their families in an inpatient, outpatient, and therapeutic school setting at the Child & Family Institute and the Comprehensive Adolescent Rehabilitation and Education Service (CARES). Dr. Amoh then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Comprehensive Adolescent Rehabilitation and Education Service (CARES) at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital where she provided individual, group, milieu, and family therapy services to high school students presenting with mood, anxiety, and/or substance use disorders.
