About Me
Nicole B. Ramsey, MD, PhD, Instructor of Pediatrics in the Serena and John Liew Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. Dr. Ramsey is a clinician and pediatrician-scientist who earned her B.S. magna cum laude from Howard University, MD from Weill Cornell Medical College, and PhD from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She completed her pediatric residency in the Pediatrician-Scientist Training and Development Program Baylor College of Medicine/ Texas Children’s Hospital, and her allergy/immunology fellowship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Ramsey performs quality improvement studies address health equity in Allergy/Immunology and in clinical trial access. She also participates in producing educational materials and training for health equity among Allergy/Immunology training program, as well as cultural humility and implicit bias for residents and fellows in the Mount Sinai Health System with the Health Equity Advancement by Learners group. Dr. Ramsey works collaboratively with residents and fellows for many of her projects.
	Research Focus
	Dr. Ramsey’s research interests, funded by the National Institutes of Health, American Academy of Allergy & Immunology, Department of Pediatrics, and Pfizer include food allergy treatment mechanisms (including basophil activation, allergen-specific T cell responses, proteomics, and transcriptomics), the development of new treatment modalities, the epidemiology of anaphylaxis across age groups. She is working on a clinical trial to determine the effect of a new medication on food allergy in patients that also have eczema.
