About Me

Dr. Nina Carroll Klein is a board qualified foot and ankle surgeon.  She provides exceptional care by spending time with her patients, thoroughly explaining their conditions, reviewing all suitable options and together choosing the best treatment plan.  Dr. Klein believes to keep your feet in optimal condition the patient-doctor relationship needs to be a strong partnership.  She provides the newest treatments and technologies, but practices a primary natural, holistic approach.  When surgery is indicated, Dr. Klein is a passionate, skilled surgeon with the ability to alter the human body in order to alleviate pain, restore function, and improve appearance.  

 

Dr. Klein completed her undergraduate work at Stony Brook University majoring in Anthropology, Biology, and Chemistry.  She continued her studies in biochemistry at The New York Medical College Graduate School for Basic Medical Sciences.  Dr. Klein earned her medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine.  She completed an advanced four year residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where she is now an instructor training future surgeons.  Dr. Klein holds certifications of advanced surgical techniques from Columbia Medical Center in microsurgery and from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery in ankle arthroscopy.  She is also certified in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University.  

 

Let Dr. Klein treat your feet to some first-class care.  She is an expert in her field, committed to evidence-based and compassionate medicine.  Dr. Klein strives to make each patient’s visit a pleasant and pain-free experience.  When she is not helping patients she spends time with her husband, adorable baby girl and beautiful white-furred husky Ghost – named after the dire wolf of HBO’s Game of Thrones.  

 

Dr. Klein has two practices: Samuel J. Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts and Mount Sinai Doctors Downtown Faculty Practice.  She is an instructor for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai St. Luke’s, Mount Sinai West.  

The state of Florida requires out-of-state professionals who are registered to provide telehealth services to display a hyperlink to the Florida Department of Health telehealth web page. This allows Florida patients who are receiving medical care by telehealth to confirm the provider’s licensure and Florida registration.
