About Me

Dr. Ning Ding joined Mount Sinai in 2024 as an Internist and Primary Care physician. After earning her medical degree from Peking University in Beijing, Dr. Ding earned her Master of Science degree in Epidemiology with a certificate in pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety from Johns Hopkins University. She then completed her training with a residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Bridgeport Hospital. Dr. Ding sees patients for their primary care needs, and has a special interest in the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In her professional community, Dr. Ding is a member of the American College of Physicians. Additionally, Dr. Ding is bilingual and can communicate with her patients in English and Mandarin.

Dr. Ding has dedicated years to researching the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases and risk factors, earning recognition for her contributions to public health. Her work on the relationship between smoking and heart disease, especially the impact of smoking cessation, has influenced public health guidelines and clinical practices. Additionally, she has made contributions to our understanding of the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and severe cases of COVID-19. Esteemed organizations like the American Heart Association, World Health Organization, and the CDC have referenced her findings in their reports and recommendations. Dr. Ding has published over 25 peer-reviewed articles in renowned international journals and contributed to her field by serving as a peer reviewer for multiple journals.

Dr. Ding applies the knowledge she gained from her Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and her strong background in evidence-based medicine through years of research to her practice in internal medicine. Her passion lies in building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients, ensuring that each individual receives personalized, evidence-based and compassionate care.

Dr. Ding is dedicated to helping her patients lead healthier lives by focusing on preventive care, managing chronic conditions, and meeting the broad medical needs of individuals. Dr. Ding believes in empowering her patients to be advocates for their own health and encourages them to take an active role in their healthcare decisions. 

In her free time, Dr. Ding enjoys spending time with her family, exploring nature with her dog, and reading with her cat.
