Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments

The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.

Dr. Barman Is wonderful. He was patient and kind and explained my condition very well.He was very funny too!He used wonderful metaphors to better describe my condition. It worked!Dr. Barman deserves A+s on EVERY level!

Dr. Barman is the best doctor I've had in recent memory. I've seen a lot of specialists and he is one of the very best.

This doctor took time to completely explain my test results, lab work, overall health, the anatomy of my condition, the benefits of certain medication with in-depth information. He answered every question. Made a plan for how to go forward. Encouraged changes I've been making and left me feeling confident in the care and skill of himself. I am so glad I got myself to, not just a cardiologist, but this cardiologist.

In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.

Dr. Barman has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.

Mount Sinai's faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
