Olga Liberman, MD
About Me
Dr. Olga Liberman has been in practice as a Urogynecologist since 2009 and joined Mount Sinai South Nassau in 2012. After graduating with her doctorate degree from New York Medical College, Dr. Liberman moved to Stony Brook Medical Center for her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology. Upon completing her residency, she finished her training with a fellowship in Urogynecology at Maimonides Medical Center. With her board certification by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and her certification in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Liberman specializes in urinary incontinence and prolapse.
In conjunction with her clinical work, Dr. Liberman has conducted research focused on the efficacy of vaginal approaches to pelvic organ prolapse repair. Additionally, she is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Urogynecologic Society, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American College of Surgeons.
When speaking on her time as a physician, Dr. Liberman explains, "I like the personal aspect of medicine, the ability to get to know my patient and treat them as more than a medical problem." With this idea as the foundation of her practice, Dr. Liberman has made a point of expanding her direct patient exchanges by offering communication in both English and Russian.
Outside of the office, Dr. Liberman finds her happy place to be with her family, especially when they have the opportunity to travel and hike. She has been to 40 states with her kids, and aims to visit all 50 before sending them off to college!
