About Me
Dr. Dhaybi is a Hypertension Specialist at the Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital at The Mount Sinai Hospital, with specialized training in resistant & secondary hypertension. He is the Director of Cardiology Hypertension at the Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital. He trained in internal medicine at the George Washington University in Washington, DC and completed a Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Chicago, mineral bone diseases/kidney stone diseases track under the mentorship of Dr. Fred Coe. He also obtained a Master of Science degree in Biostatistics & Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Chicago. He subsequently completed a dedicated Hypertension fellowship at the American Heart Association (AHA) Comprehensive Hypertension Center at the University of Chicago under the mentorship of Dr. George Bakris, and holds a Certified Hypertension Specialist designation from the American Heart Association/American Society of Cardiology (Hypertension Board certification). After working as a Nephrologist in private practice, Dr. Dhaybi joined Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital in order to focus on his area of expertise, Hypertension.
Dr. Dhaybi has expertise in 24h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) and in renal denervation, a novel procedure to lower blood pressure. His practice focuses on treating adult patients with hard-to-treat/resistant hypertension, as well as patients with secondary causes of hypertension, such as hypertension in patients with chronic kidney disease, as well as primary hyperaldosteronism, renovascular hypertension and pheochromocytomas/paragangliomas. He also specializes in treating Hypertension in dialysis patients, as well as Hypertension in pregnancy (severe preeclampsia), Hypertension in the elderly, along with management of autonomic dysfunction and orthostatic hypotension. He holds an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
