About Me
Dr. Siper is a licensed clinical psychologist, Chief Psychologist of the Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment, and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. She has expertise in the diagnosis, neuropsychological assessment, and treatment of children and adults with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). Dr. Siper’s research focuses on sensory processing and biomarker discovery using electrophysiological and behavioral approaches. Dr. Siper is the co-developer of the Sensory Assessment for Neurodevelopmental Disorders (SAND), which is the first clinician-administered observation and corresponding caregiver interview to quantify sensory reactivity symptoms specific to NDDs. In her role as Chief Psychologist, Dr. Siper oversees the psychological assessment process for a broad research portfolio ranging from natural history studies to clinical trials. Dr. Siper is also a neuropsychologist on an NIH-funded Congenital Heart Disease study. Dr. Siper presents her work nationally and internationally and has appeared on CNN, CBS, NBC, Lifetime and in print in the New York Times.
Dr. Siper graduated with honors and distinction from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University and completed her clinical psychology internship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Siper was the recipient of an Autism Speaks Meixner Translational Research Postdoctoral Fellowship, which she completed at the Seaver Autism Center at Mount Sinai. She joined Mount Sinai faculty in 2014.
The state of Florida requires out-of-state professionals who are registered to provide telehealth services to display a hyperlink to the Florida Department of Health telehealth web page. This allows Florida patients who are receiving medical care by telehealth to confirm the provider’s licensure and Florida registration.
