About Me
Dr. Peter H. Chen is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with an outstanding academic resume and excellent clinical experience. He is a graduate of Harvard University, where he completed a rigorous four-year residency program in orthodontics. In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Chen also conducted numerous research projects, and concurrently received his Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree from Harvard. In recognition of his work, Dr. Chen was awarded the prestigious Harvard Presidential Scholar Award.
A native of New York City, Dr. Chen is an alumni of Stuyvesant High School, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. John’s University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Stony Brook University, graduating with honors in research and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Honor Society. To better serve his patients, he also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Healthcare Systems Management.
Dr. Chen takes his professional commitment seriously and is an active participant in the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. His vision is to provide a perfect smile and a healthy bite that is custom made for each patient, and his guiding principle is to treat each and every one of his patients like he would treat his own family.
Dr. Chen is a Clinical Instructor of Orthodontics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and has a private practice located in Scarsdale, NY.
