About Me

Peter Lobl, JD, PhD joined the Institute for Family Health in 2013 as a behavioral scientist, where he supports the Mount Sinai-affiliated Harlem Residency in Family Medicine. Dr. Lobl provides a psychosocial background for the residents. He earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and completed his internship and fellowship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. Prior to joining the Institute, Dr. Lobl worked as a Supervising Psychologist for six years at the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center. Dr. Lobl completed his Psychology Internship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt and following internship, trained at the hospital’s Addiction Institute as a Psychology Fellow. Dr. Lobl has worked in a variety of different settings (inpatient, intensive outpatient, outpatient clinic) and has worked with diverse populations in terms of age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and level of functioning.
