
Prameet Singh, MD
About Me
Prameet Singh, M.D., is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Vice President of Behavioral Health for the Mount Sinai Health System. He received his medical degree from the University of Delhi and completed his Internship and Residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York as well as a Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry.
Dr. Singh is Board Certified in Adult and Addiction psychiatry and is frequently called on to consult on complex cases with comorbidity. He has also worked extensively with physicians that suffer from addictive and comorbid disorders. Areas of clinical focus are Short Term Psychotherapy, personality disorders and second opinions for diagnosis and pharmacotherapy of mood and psychotic disorders.
Prior to being appointed as Chair, Dr. Singh spent much of his career in education, serving as Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program and previously for the fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry. He is the recipient of several awards for resident teaching, as well the APA’s Nancy Roeske award for excellence in medical student education.
