Prashant Vaishnava, MD
Prashant Vaishnava, MD is Director of Quality Assurance of Mount Sinai Heart and Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Vaishnava graduated from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society and the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society. He completed internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by training in cardiovascular disease at the Mount Sinai Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Echocardiography. He has served on the cardiology faculty at the University of Michigan, where he led multiple quality improvement initiatives and received multiple awards recognizing his teaching and clinical service. While at Michigan, he led the implementation of the electronic medical record for the Division in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.
He has also been involved nationally with maintenance of certification activities organized through the American College of Cardiology. He has been the Early Career Representative for the American College of Cardiology Foundation/American Heart Association/American College of Physicians Task Force on Clinical Competence and Training. He has authored several manuscripts and serves on multiple editorial Boards.
