
Qing Hao, MD, PhD
About Me
Dr. Qing Hao is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and attending physician at the Mount Sinai Stroke Center. She is board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurlogy by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Hao received her medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center in China. She then received research training at the Chinese University of Hong Kong where she received her Ph.D. degree. She continued stroke research in UCLA Stroke Center before she joined SUNY Downstate Medical Center for internship and neurology residency training. Upon completion of vascular neurology fellowship in Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, she returned to New York and joined Mount Sinai Health System Department of Neurology. Dr. Hao takes care of patients with stroke and cerebrovascular disease at Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens.
Dr. Hao‘s research interests include exploring the pathophysiological mechanisms of atherosclerotic disease and ischemic stroke using different imaging modalities, including transcranial Doppler ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging including ultrahigh field MRI, computed tomography angiography/perfusion, with the goal of optimizing stroke treatment and stroke prevention to improve the outcomes. She has published 30+ peers review articles and serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals.
