Dr. Rachel Freed is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety disorders. Dr. Freed earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Boston University and completed an APA-accredited internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed postdoctoral fellowships at Temple University and at Mount Sinai’s Pediatric Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program. Dr. Freed has also published extensively on topics related to both the etiology and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders.
