About Me
Dr. Raiza Lopez has been a practicing Internist in the US since 2010. After graduating with her medical degree from Instituto Superior de Ciencias Mèdicas de la Habana, Dr. Lopez remained in Cuba for her first residency in Internal Medicine at Carlos J. Finlay Hospital. She practiced in Cuba for a short time before moving to the US for her second Internal Medicine residency at NYU Langone Brooklyn. With her certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Lopez sees patients for a multitude of reasons, including annual physicals, preventative screenings, disease management and treatment, pre-operative exams, and the general promotion of health and wellbeing. Additionally, Dr. Lopez can communicate with her patients in both Spanish and English.
Dr. Lopez's philosophy when it comes to practicing medicine is be listen closely, be compassionate, and offer patient-centered care. She views medicine as a profession focused on helping others, regardless of circumstances, by placing a heavy emphasis on facilitating patients to lead healthier and happier lives. Outside of her time in the office, Dr. Lopez enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as going to the beach, traveling, and reading a good book.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
Spent a lot of time explaining my blood work, recommendations for treatments, directions for care of my concerns, excellent doctor, best I have ever had. Listens and concerned.
Dr. Lopez is very thorough and very professional.
Dr took a great deal of time going over all the yearly blood tests and how to improve the results for the future
