Raymond Sultan, MD
Urology
About Me
Dr. Raymond Sultan has been practicing urology since 2012 and joined Mount Sinai South Nassau in 2017. After graduating NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Dr. Sultan moved to Rutgers University for his two residencies in Surgery and Urology, respectively. He then went on to Weill Cornell Medical School for his research fellowship training in Male Infertility. With his board certification by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Sultan sees patients for a wide range of urological ailments and treatments.
As a Urologist, Dr. Sultan is specifically interested in using cutting-edge, revolutionary technology, including Robotic Aquablation for the prostate and the Moses laser for kidney stones. South Nassau is the only hospital on Long Island to have acquired and become experienced with Robotic Aquablation, which utilizes the precision of a robot and the safety of a waterjet to treat even the most difficult prostates with superior outcomes. The Moses laser allows urologists like Dr. Sultan to treat small stones more thoroughly than ever before, and enables large stones to avoid more invasive procedures.
In his professional community, Dr. Sultan is a member of the American Urologic Association, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. When discussing his role as a Urologist, Dr. Sultan explains how he finds it to be a great field that allows for the building of long term relationships with patients and their extended families.
Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Sultan loves roller hockey, and rarely goes a week without playing in a league with his friends. He enjoys spending almost all of his free time with his 4 children, and often finds himself working on DIY projects around the house. Additionally, within his religious community, Dr. Sultan is an ordained rabbi, although he has not had a chance to practice recently, as being a Urologist and father takes up much of his time!

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. SULTAN has not yet completed reporting of Industry relationships.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
