Dr. Rebecca Pappalardo is an anesthesiologist with more than 30 years of experience spanning clinical practice, healthcare operations, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. A graduate of the former UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Pappalardo completed her residency training in anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
Throughout her career, Dr. Pappalardo has practiced in both hospital-based and ambulatory surgical settings. As co-director of ambulatory services at Englewood Medical center, she developed extensive expertise in healthcare operations, workflow optimization, staffing strategy, and financial performance improvement. She has successfully led initiatives focused on enhancing efficiency, improving patient care of anesthesia delivery, and aligning operational resources with organizational goals through detailed manpower analysis, scheduling redesign, and process improvement programs. Dr. Pappalardo is passionate about helping anesthesia teams navigate change and build sustainable systems that support both anesthesia providers and patients.
Dr. Pappalardo's practice goals are laser focused on providing excellent anesthesia patient care on a daily basis. She appreciates the unique position each anesthesiologist possesses in guiding their patients through their journey to good health. She is an articulate, bilingual communicator skilled at cultivating positive relationships with anesthesia care teams, patients, surgeons, and support staff. She is a dedicated mentor for CRNA students, medical students, and anesthesia residents in demonstrating the art of anesthesia in practice and principles. Most importantly, she is a lifelong learner in continual pursuit of professional knowledge, certification, and cutting-edge technologies and techniques.
