Richard S Haber, MD
Endocrine, Diabetes and Bone Diseases (Endocrinology)
About Me
Dr. Haber performs in-office neck ultrasonography for the diagnosis of thyroid and parathyroid disease, and for surveillance for recurrent disease in thyroid cancer patients. He has directed courses in thyroid ultrasonography sponsored by the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Ultrasonography is of great value in the evaluation and management of patients with thyroid disease, especially thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, and is used to guide fine-needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules. It also makes possible pre-operative imaging of enlarged parathyroid glands in many patients with hyperparathyroidism.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
