About Me
Richelle M. Reinhart, MD, MSHS, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Newborn Medicine in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology, medical school at the University of South Florida, pediatrics residency at Rainbow Babies’ and Children’s Hospital, and most recently her neonatology fellowship at Children’s National Hospital. In addition to clinical care, she also currently serves as the Interim Director of NICU Quality and Safety. Dr. Reinhart has been involved in quality improvement & patient safety research since medical school, ranging from work in improving multidisciplinary care in neonatal abstinence syndrome to studying the effects of virtual rounding in the COVID-19 pandemic to monitor bundle compliance and engagement. She has completed her white and yellow belts in Lean Certification and recently completed a Master’s in Healthcare Quality at the George Washington University. Dr. Reinhart's research focuses on quality improvement and patient safety to improve the outcomes of neonates in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in the NICU.
