Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments
The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
Excellent
Dr. Fuller was terrific! In the past four months, I have talked to 20 doctors (I have two kinds of cancer and a lung problem). Dr. Fuller was not only very clear but unlike many doctors I have spoken with in and outside of the Mt. Sinai system, she welcomed and was comfortable answering questions. She volunteered Information. She showed me my chest scan and explained what she saw. In reference to my lung problem, I had spoken with 7 doctors in the last 2 weeks.. Dr. Fuller gave me information about my condition that none of other doctors mentioned. (Perhaps they did not know; to the detriment of patient care, the doctors are very silo-ed off from each other). Dr. Fuller listened to my questions and answered the questions I actually asked- unlike many doctors who questions with the most general Information. As a result, I left the appointment with a much better understanding of my condition, Because she explained things so well and in such a balanced way, I had a good appreciation of how my Immune system was compromised and I will be careful In appropriate ways now. In other words, her approach not only resulted in less stress, but I think it will reduce the chances of my getting sick again. I really think Dr. Fuller is exemplary.
This was my first time in an ID clinic, the ID Physician Dr Fuller was extremely attentive, asked all the pertinent questions, explained my situation and the reports lucidly, advised me regarding the medication / potential side effects, and in summary was thorough, professional and addressed all my questions. Following the appointment she immediately texted me as test results came through. Overall was appreciative and grateful to have such superlative clinical expertise coupled with a caring attitude.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device, biotechnology companies, and other outside entities to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their outside financial relationships.
Dr. Fuller has not yet completed reporting of industry relationships or has no industry relationships to report.
Mount Sinai’s faculty policies relating to faculty collaboration with industry are posted on our website. Patients may wish to ask their physician about the activities they perform for companies.
