About Me

Robin Ulep, MD has broad clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of patients with stroke on the inpatient hospital service and through telestroke consultation. In her outpatient clinic, she places a focus on comprehensive preventive care, manages complications such as post-stroke spasticity, and supports stroke patients and their caregivers through rehab and recovery. She is proficient at administering botulinum toxin injections for spasticity and migraine. Dr. Ulep takes a patient-centered, collaborative multidisciplinary approach to stroke management. She is dedicated to providing and advocating for culturally responsive healthcare for her patients.

Dr. Ulep received her ScB from Brown University and MD from the University of Queensland. For her commitment to academic excellence, research scholarship and advocacy efforts, she has received multiple awards from the American Academy of Neurology including the Medical Student Research Scholarship and Medical Student Prize for Excellence. During residency, her leadership led to initiatives in diversity, equity, and inclusion that were recognized with the University of Virginia Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health System Award and she was one of 10 residents in the country chosen for the American Academy of Neurology Enhanced Resident Leadership Program. As a Vascular Neurology fellow at Stanford University, she was also selected to the Leadership Education in Advancing Diversity (LEAD) program.  Dr. Ulep is actively engaged in the mentorship and education of medical students, residents, NPs, and PAs through her roles as an Associate Program Director for the Mount Sinai Neurology Residency Program and a faculty preceptor in the medical school Brain and Behavior course.

Dr. Ulep is involved with clinical trial enrollment at Mount Sinai. She has authored book chapters and published in multiple journals. She has presented nationally and internationally at the American Academy of Neurology and International Stroke Conference. Her goal is to lead initiatives and drive research that address health inequities and improve healthcare delivery for underserved populations.
