About Me
Rosanna Mirante, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. Dr. Mirante is the Medical Director of Outpatient Pediatrics for the Division of General Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital. She works closely with the onsite medical directors to coordinate communication and best practices amongst the various general pediatrics practices and clinics including 1468 Madison Avenue-Annenberg, 5 East 98th Street, 234 East 85th Street and 10 Union Square East. She serves as a partner and resource for several other network general pediatrics sites that have strengthened collaborations in recent years.
Dr. Mirante received her undergraduate degree from Yale University followed by a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital after which she worked for a brief time at the Pediatric Associates Clinic and the Mount Sinai Pediatric ED prior to joining BSM Pediatrics. Dr. Mirante joined Mount Sinai at the 85th Street FPA Practice in 2016 after being in private practice for over 20 years. During her years in private practice, Dr. Mirante gained invaluable experience in all the clinical and business aspects of running a practice. During this time, she also served as Teaching Attending on both the pediatric floors and in the Well Baby Nursery. She has been involved with the ISMMS Clerkship as a preceptor for third year medical students and has mentored countless residents in her office during their outpatient rotations in primary care. In 2015, Dr. Mirante was voted “Voluntary Teaching Attending of the year” by the Pediatric Residents. During the COVID pandemic, she was instrumental in helping coordinate the integration of the primary care practices ensuring smooth transitions for the patients and staff during this tumultuous time.
Dr. Mirante has received numerous accolades for her clinical expertise and patient care, including her induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, and has been consistently acknowledged as a top doctor by Castle Connolly, NY Super Doctors and New York Magazine.
Dr. Mirante has a special interest in medical education and patient advocacy.
