Dr. Saad Chaudhary is a board certified spine surgeon with a specific focus on minimally invasive spine surgery. He has joined the Spine Institute with considerable experience in the treatment of the entire spectrum of cervical, lumbar and thoracic spine disorders; including traumatic injuries, arthritis, disc degeneration, disc herniations, scoliosis, tumors and infections. Dr. Chaudhary offers personalized care through active patient participation in formulating the most sensible and customized treatment plan to meet each patient’s specific medical and individual needs. He employs advanced diagnostics and the latest cutting edge technologies to get patients back to their desired lifestyle. Before joining the full-time faculty at the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Spine Institute, Dr. Chaudhary was an Assistant Professor at the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School. He has been consistently recognized and respected by his patients and peers as a compassionate and talented doctor. His awards include being named as one of “America’s Top Orthopedists”, NJ Magazine’s Top Doctors and NY and NJ Top Docs. Dr. Chaudhary earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He then completed his training as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School, where he served as an administrative chief resident. Dr. Chaudhary pursued his sub-specialty education in Spinal Surgery at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic, where he received specialty training in both Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical spine techniques. Dr. Chaudhary has contributed to various textbooks and authored numerous articles in the fields of orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgery. His research has been presented at numerous national meetings and he often serves on the faculty of courses to teach the most contemporary and advanced surgical techniques to other spine surgeons.
