About Me
Dr. Sandeep Singh began practicing as a Cardiologist in 2000 and joined Mount Sinai in 2024. Dr. Singh earned both his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from the University of Connecticut. He then completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center where he served as Chief Medical Resident and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. Dr. Singh finished his training with a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center through Harvard Medical School where he also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. With his board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine, Dr. Singh's clinical interests focus on the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. This focus includes Lipidology, Lipoprotein(a), Apolipoprotein b, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, coronary risk markers, coronary inflammation, hypertension, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, heart failure, palpitations, and chest pain syndromes.
In his professional community, Dr. Singh is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is also a lecturer at Garnet Health Medical Center with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. During both his residency and clinical practice, Dr. Singh has been awarded multiple teaching awards due to his time spent with medical students, residents, and nursing staff. Additionally, Dr. Singh has an extensive history in clinical research, including acting as the site principal investigator on three research initiatives.
Dr. Singh is bilingual and can communicate with his patients in both English and Punjabi. Outside of his time with patients, Dr. Singh enjoys exercising, soccer, traveling, and a good cup of coffee. He also teaches at a Sunday school for the Sikh community and is very involved with the Sikh Coalition.
