About Me

Sanida Luković, MD (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Luković joined the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2022, after completing residency at Jacobi Medical Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. 

Dr. Luković has an interest in the safe and equitable delivery of emergency care, with a focus on identifying and responding to social determinants of health, and ensuring reliable outpatient follow-up. She leads projects at Mount Sinai Queens Emergency Department aimed at creating tools within the current electronic medical record system to facilitate referrals and access to resources that impact health (e.g. housing, food, employment, and legal counsel for immigration rights). She is also a certified physician evaluator of asylum seekers at the Columbia Human Rights Initiative Asylum Clinic.

Dr. Luković lives is Astoria with her husband and son. She enjoys biking, investigative journalism, and a good summer spritz. Dr. Luković graduated from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine.
