About Me
Santosh Coorg, M.D., is an obstetrician-gynecologist at The Mount Sinai Hospital in the Raquel and Jaime Gilinski Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include family planning, breastfeeding, physiologic birth, minimally invasive surgery, menopause and LGBTQ+ health.
Dr. Coorg earned her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, where she served as administrative chief resident and wellness chair. During her residency, Dr. Coorg was honored with the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists' Outstanding Resident of the Year Award, the SASGOG 2025 Academic Specialist Award, the Dennis Lorell MD Award and multiple Excellence in Teaching awards.
Dr. Coorg has lectured extensively on breastfeeding education for medical trainees, presented at the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine International Conference and has presented on family planning access.
Dr. Coorg is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Coorg is fluent in Spanish, Tamil and Hindi.
