About Me
Dr. Sarah Angeli is a licensed clinical psychologist in the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Department at Mount Sinai Hospital where she provides boht individual- and group psychotherapy to adults with complex psychiatric needs across the life span. She specializes in the treatment of complex trauma, substance use, and co-occurring mental health disorders, providing evidence-based, trauma-informed care to adults with diverse psychiatric presentations. Dr. Angeli's treatment approach is integrative, client-centered, LGBTQ-affirmative, and cluturally responive, including elements of psychodynamic psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), DBT-informed treatment, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and motivational interviewing. She holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, where her doctoral research examined the intergenerational transmission of trauma and resilience among families of sex trafficking survivors.
