Sarah Elizabeth Williams

About Me

Sarah is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Neuroscience, co-mentored by Dr. Kristen Brennand of Yale University. Her research utilizes human stem cell models to study genetic risk for psychiatric disorders, with an emphasis on cell-type-specific effects, non-coding variants, and multiplexing strategies. Before coming to Sinai in 2020, Sarah completed her B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience at Northeastern University. While in Boston, she worked under Drs. Jordan Smoller and Richard Cummings as a research technician studying the role of glycosylation in schizophrenia biology through the lens of common genetic variation.
