About Me

Sarah Moore, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Moore received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia University Medical Center. She then continued with sub-specialty Fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and post-doctoral research training in the basic science of lung biology and lung infection under the mentorship of Dr. Jaime Hook at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Moore’s research focuses on the biology of pathogen-induced lung injury and subsequent lung repair, with the overall goal of identifying novel therapeutic approaches for patients with severe lung injury. Clinically, Dr. Moore cares for patients across the spectrum of pulmonary disease, serving as teaching faculty in the outpatient pulmonary clinic and on the inpatient pulmonary consultation service. She is actively involved in the American Thoracic Society (ATS) Assembly on Respiratory Cell & Molecular Biology, serving as Co-Chair of the Web Committee and as a member of the Early Career Professionals Working Group.
