About Me
Sayeeda Chowdhury, MD, MPH, is a board-eligible family medicine physician and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Mount Sinai Queens. She provides comprehensive primary care to adults in the Queens community, with a special focus on reproductive health, including cervical cancer screening, contraceptive counseling, and IUD and implant insertions and removals. Dr. Chowdhury also practices at Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, where she provides abortion care and contraceptive counseling.
Her clinical interests include women’s reproductive health, preventive care, and patient-centered management of complex primary care needs. Dr. Chowdhury is fluent in Bengali and has conversational proficiency in Spanish, allowing her to provide culturally sensitive care to diverse populations.
Dr. Chowdhury earned her doctorate and Master’s of Public Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed her Family Medicine residency with a Reproductive Health track at the Institute for Mount Sinai-Harlem Health Center. She has been recognized for excellence in reproductive justice and public health and is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and other health care professionals.
