About Me

Dr. Serdar Farhan joined Mount Sinai Heart and the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute as a full-time faculty in February 2020 in the role of Assistant Professor of Medicine. Dr. Farhan completed fellowships in Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Interventions at the Mount Sinai Hospital. After earning his medical degree from the University of Vienna/Austria, Dr. Farhan completed his medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the Wilhelminen Hospital in Vienna/Austria. He completed a research fellowship at the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute at Mount Sinai. He has since been actively involved in cardiovascular research, especially in the field of coronary and peripheral artery disease. Dr. Farhan has authored/co-authored numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts and has presented at various local, national, and international meetings.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC).
