Shane Meehan, MD

Dr. Shane Meehan is Professor of Dermatology and Pathology and Co-Director of the Dermatopathology Fellowship.

After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology, Dr. Meehan attended Dartmouth Medical School and spent a year at University of California, San Francisco where he discovered his passion for dermatopathology. He was a resident in anatomic pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine where he served as chief and went on to complete his surgical pathology fellowship at Stanford followed by a dermatopathology fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.  At NYU, Dr. Meehan rose through the ranks to become Director of Dermatopathology and Dermatopathology Fellowship Director.

Dr. Meehan brings his 20+ years of experience and his superb skillset, to deliver customer-oriented service that meets the highest standards, to the Mount Sinai Dermatopathology Laboratory.
