About Me
Dr. Sheena Ranade is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery in the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Co-Director of the Comprehensive Neuromuscular Care Clinic. Dr. Ranade is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who sees patients in both Manhattan and Brooklyn. Dr. Ranade received her undergraduate and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and is a graduate of New York Medical College. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Ranade continued her training as a Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Fellow at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the most prestigious pediatric orthopaedic programs in the nation. She has trained with world leaders in hip preservation (including Periacetabular Osteotomy and Surgical Hip Dislocation), pediatric sports medicine (including ACL Reconstruction in the Immature Athlete) and lower extremity deformity correction (including Intramedullary Magnetic Lengthening and External Fixation).
She is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and the Society of Women Engineers. Dr. Ranade is trilingual in English, Spanish and Malayalam.
Dr. Ranade sees patients at The Mount Sinai Hospital and The Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice in Brooklyn Heights.
