About Me
Dr. Sofia Barchuk is a dedicated physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Following medical school, Dr. Barchuk completed a surgical internship at the University of California San Francisco, East Bay and went on to complete her residency in PM&R at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
	
	To further refine her expertise, Dr. Barchuk pursued a fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Her clinical interests are centered around the comprehensive care of individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury. Additionally, she is passionate about enhancing the recovery process for patients following intensive care unit stays, ensuring early intervention of rehabilitation in the critical care setting.
