Dr. Sonal Jani is a preventive cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is dedicated to helping patients prevent cardiovascular disease through personalized, evidence-based care, with an emphasis on early risk detection, comprehensive cardiovascular assessment, and long-term prevention strategies.
Dr. Jani earned her undergraduate degree from Boston University and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City.
She is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds additional certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Her clinical interests include preventive cardiology, coronary artery disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes-related cardiovascular risk, congenital heart disease, and advanced cardiovascular risk assessment. She also has a special interest in women's cardiovascular health, including the impact of menopause on heart health and strategies to reduce cardiovascular risk during midlife and beyond.
