About Me
Dr. Soo Yeon Kim is the Director of Pain Medicine and Interventional Spine for the Department of Rehabilitation and Human Performance at the Icahn School of Medicine (Mount Sinai).
Experienced in comprehensive pain management, Dr. Kim has clinical expertise in a wide range of painful conditions, such as spine-related pain, post-laminectomy syndrome, vertebral compression fracture, neuropathic pain, degenerative joint disease, and other musculoskeletal-related pain. Dr. Kim is an expert in advanced neuromodulation and minimally invasive techniques, which she uses to treat various chronic pain conditions. She is expert at performing diagnostic and therapeutic spinal injections, discography, kyphoplasty, cryotherapy, neuromodulations including spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulators, orthobiologic injections, and pulsed and thermal radiofrequency neurolysis.
She is committed to providing quality pain management to her patients with compassion. She works closely with referring providers to provide patients with individualized treatment plans using evidence-based medicine. Her practice focuses on a multidisciplinary approach that closely meets individual needs, technologically advanced treatment modalities, and physical rehabilitation.
