Sophie Sutker, PsyD
About Me
Dr. Sutker is a licensed Psychologist, Sex Therapist, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After receiving both her masters and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology, Dr. Sutker completed her graduate certification in sexual and reproductive health before pursuing certification in sex therapy.
Dr. Sutker works in the Student and Trainee Mental Health program at Icahn, and has a faculty practice where she treats individuals and couples. Her approach to therapy is integrative, to address the complexity of sexual concerns. She practices from a trauma-informed and systems-oriented lens, and is recognized as a member of Manhattan Alternative as an affirming provider for clients who identify as gender diverse, LGBTQIA+, kinky, sex workers, and/or folks in non-traditional relationship structures.
