Dr. Shah's clinical research is focused on the treatment of overactive bladder and pelvic organ prolapse (POP). An active clinical trial looking at long term outcomes with the use of biologic grafts as an alternative to vaginal mesh is currently in progress. Dr Shah is also interested in outpatient minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) using Bipolar Transurethral Resection of the Prostate and Laser Vaporization of Prostate. He and his team are also currently enrolling patients in a clinical trial for an outpatient, office-based procedure for the treatment of BPH.

Patient Experience Star Ratings and Comments

The Patient Experience Star Rating reflects our patients’ perception of how well their Mount Sinai provider communicated with them during an office visit. The Star Rating is based on patient responses to three questions on a patient experience survey, a standardized questionnaire sent to verified patients and distributed by a third party vendor, Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
