About Me
Dr. Srinivas Duvvuri has practiced Cardiology for over 30 years. After graduating with his medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica, Dr. Duvvuri completed his rotating internship at Princess Margaret Hospital in the Bahamas. He then went on to Howard University Hospital for his residency in Internal Medicine, where he acted as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Duvvuri finished his training with two fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Mount Sinai Medical Center, respectively. As a double-board certified physician in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Duvvuri's clinical interests include coronary angioplasty and stents, and taking care of his critically ill patients. Additionally, Dr. Duvvuri is bilingual and can communicate with patients in both English and Telugu.
In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Duvvuri has an extensive history of teaching and currently acts as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine. He has been involved in dozens of peer-reviewed publications, including ones published in the American Journal of Cardiology and the Journal of Invasive Cardiology. In his professional community, Dr. Duvvuri holds Fellowship status in both the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention and the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Duvvuri knew from a young age that he wanted to become a doctor after watching his father love his job as a pathologist. In his practice today, Dr. Duvvuri advises his patients to follow a healthy diet and exercise, and each day try to be a little better than the one before. Outside of his time in the office, Dr. Duvvuri enjoys spending time with his family, going on evening walks, and watching tennis, cricket, and other professional sports finals.
