Stephanie Charles, MD

Dr. Stephanie Charles is a board-certified family physician who provides comprehensive primary care to children and adults across all stages of life. Originally from New York City and raised on Long Island, Dr. Charles completed her undergraduate education at New York University and earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Boston Medical Center.

Dr. Charles subsequently served as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and academic medical educator at Boston University School of Medicine. She was also an attending physician on the Family Medicine inpatient service at Boston Medical Center and taught and precepted residents in the combined Family Medicine/Psychiatry Residency Program.

Most recently, Dr. Charles practiced primary care at Columbia University, where she served as Physician Lead for the multidisciplinary Eating Disorders Group and provided women’s health care, including contraceptive counseling and management.

Dr. Charles is dedicated to providing compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered care, with an emphasis on patient education and advocacy. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, women’s health, chronic disease management, behavioral health integration, and medical student education.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Charles enjoys spending time with family and friends, international travel, learning new languages, and attending ballet and Broadway performances.
