About Me
Stephanie Bernard, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Newborn Medicine in the Jack and Lucky Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine. She also serves as an attending neonatologist at Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital, Mount Sinai West, and in the NICU Follow-Up Clinic. Dr. Bernard received her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. She completed both her Pediatric residency and fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Clinical Focus:
Dr. Bernard's primary interests include improving neurodevelopmental outcomes in preterm infants and the medical education of trainees.
Research Focus:
Dr. Bernard's clinical research has focused on family-centered developmental care in the NICU with a special interest in the creation of a shared reading program for parents and infants.
