About Me
Stephanie Wong, MD, FACS, is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist and Assistant Professor in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. She earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her Otolaryngology Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center, followed by a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at UCSD-Rady Children's Hospital.
After fellowship, Dr. Wong became an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she served as the Quality and Safety Officer for the Department of Otolaryngology and lecturer for the Neuroscience graduate program and School of Medicine. During this time, she helped usher in the opening of the Children's Hospital of Richmond, was actively involved in the Cochlear Implant Team and Aerodigestive Collaborative, and was a member of the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Advisory Committee for the state of Virginia.
She has since joined Mount Sinai and is passionate about providing excellent care to children and their families. She has clinical interests in all aspects of advanced pediatric otolaryngology ranging from complex problems of the ears to diseases of the upper aerodigestive tract with a focus on surgical management of pediatric breathing and swallowing disorders. Dr. Wong provides specialized care for patients with complex Aerodigestive disorders in Mount Sinai’s multidisciplinary Aerodigestive clinic. She holds positions on multiple committees standardizing and ensuring quality care at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. She has written several book chapters, has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, and has lectured and presented her work both nationally and internationally.
She is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Society for Ear Nose and Throat Advancement in Children, and American Academy of Otolaryngology. She is board-certified in Otolaryngology.
