Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He then completed his residency in Orthopedics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before moving to the Hip and Knee Center of NY Presbyterian Hospital for his fellowship in Adult Reconstruction. With his certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Johnstone specializes in hip and knee joint replacements. Additionally, Dr. Johnstone is bilingual and can communicate with his patients in English and German.
In conjunction with his clinical role, Dr. Johnstone serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at The Icahn School of Medicine. In his time with patients, Dr. Johnstone finds it most rewarding to improve a patient’s well-being through his ability to replace pain and limitation with function, mobility, and independence. He aims to see patients as a whole, understanding that their pain is only one part of who they are as people.
