About Me
Steven Carbonaro received his B.A. from Columbia University prior to completing medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After obtaining his M.D. he went on to complete his psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, where he served as chief resident and supervisor in the adult outpatient clinic during his final year. He joined the faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine in 2020, where he works primarily as a CPEP attending at Mount Sinai Morningside. His interests include substance use disorders & emergency psychiatry, and he enjoys teaching residents about addiction psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and the basics of financial planning as a resident.
