About Me
Dr. Steven Berman began practicing as a Urologist in 1986 and joined Mount Sinai Doctors in 2023. After completing his undergraduate studies at Yeshiva University, Dr. Berman earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Brooklyn. Dr. Berman then pursued both his internship in General Surgery and his residency in Urology at Montefiore-Einstein Medical Center. With his board certification by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Berman's clinical interests include general urology and prostate cancer screening.
In his professional community, Dr. Berman is a member of the American Urologic Association (AUA), the New York section of the AUA, and the New York Medical Society. Dr. Berman also plays a role in academia where he teaches in the Department of Urology at The Icahn School of Medicine.
Dr. Berman has published multiple papers in prestigious medical journals within his field of Urology. The topics of these publications include urachal remnants in adults, continence mechanisms following transphincteric urethroplasty, and preliminary results of radiation therapy for prostate cancer in HIV positive patients.
