About Me
Stuart Kahn, MD graduated from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine in 1988, and went on to Columbia University’s Presbyterian Hospital to complete his training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1992. Dr. Kahn holds dual appointments in the Leni and Peter W. May Department of Orthopedics and the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Subspecialty of Pain management.
Over the years of practice, Dr. Kahn has earned several “Best Doctors” awards, and “Top Physician” awards, in addition to Castle and Connolly’s “Top Doctors” recognition in his specialty. Dr. Kahn Has moved to Mount Sinai Medical Center
Dr. Kahn’s Clinical interests include non-surgical management of Cervical, Lumbar, and Thoracic pain syndromes. His treatments for pinched nerves of the low back, low back pain, pinched nerves of the neck, neck pain, mid back pain, and sacroiliac pain are extensive. He is not only an expert in performing treatments such as Lumbar, Cervical and Thoracic Epidural Steroid injections, Foraminal Nerve blocks, Facet Joint injections, Medial Nerve blocks and Radio frequency, but formally teaches fellows how to perform these delicate procedures as well. Dr. Kahn is also the co-director of a Fellowship training program in spine and sport rehabilitation medicine. Dr. Kahn has published many textbook chapters and coauthored several research articles.
Dr. Kahn’s patients like him for his kind bedside manner, but most appreciate his clinical ability to treat the musculoskeletal pain syndromes such as back pain, neck pain, pinched nerves, Sciatica, leg pain and arm pain, numbness and tingling without surgery whenever possible.
